Within the 3 hours that I spent at my very first fashion show, I was basically on cloud nine. I might not have gotten a seat in the front row or been escorted in as VIP (thanks to some shnoozing and 944, we made it across the red velvet ropes) but I was more than happy to be in the back row in the middle of all the chaos. It all happened in a tent (yes, an actual huge tent just like NY fashion week) in the heart of Miami’s Design District. Featured were “fresh faced” or up and coming designers like Duskin, Lialia, Fernando Carneiro, Romina Hughes, By Smith, and The City’s very own Whitney Eve by Whitney Port. I brought my mega huge camera hoping to get a few good shots, but due to all the excitement and some terrible seating (and not to mention forgetting the zoom lens) I didn’t do such a great job. I did, however, get the courage to run to the front row, crouch down and get some better shots during Whitney’s collection. I’m not gonna lie, I felt pretty legit.
