Urban Outfitters making wedding dresses?

5 Mar

According to PR Couture and WWD, it looks like UO is entering the $60 billion wedding industry. Apparently UO has done very well with sales recently and has decided to make gowns under the Anthropologie label that will run from $1,000 to $5,000. The line will begin to sell online before any physical stores and will also include bridesmaid dresses, jewelry, accessories, shoes, invitations and bridal registry to please the entire hipster wedding party. Here comes the bridester!

It’s about time that Urban Outfitters and Co. jumped on the wedding bandwagon! For my wedding I had to use myregistry.com to register for things from Anthropologie since they didn’t offer their own registry service (how is this possible with so many household things??). I must say, though, if I had to do it again I’d still use the online registry since it let me have everything I wanted from any store in one place.
